24 Hours in the desert
In this vibrant mixed media painting day and night melt together into one wild pulsing heartbeat across the desert I grew up in. The sun blazes golden and fierce pouring out heat and raw life while the deep indigo night sky sparkles with stars and a glowing celestial orb wraps everything in cool mysterious darkness.
Palm trees stand tall as silent lovers caught between the burning light and the soft velvety night. Rolling dunes… and wild landforms swirl and dance with rich layers of turquoise dusty rose warm terracotta and electric neon every single color my eyes have ever drunk in from the ever changing desert light.
With my hands full of texture bold patterns and flowing lines I poured all my fire into this canvas. It holds the scorching heat and the refreshing coolness breathing side by side. This painting is my wild celebration of the deserts tough beautiful soul its hidden life and the crazy overwhelming love I carry for this land that raised me.
