About this artwork
This work reflects my vision of the world and my search for the birth of expressive abstract paintings through the real leaves and flowers of Croton, my favorite plant. I have been working on a series of abstract bouquets and flowers for a long time. This series consists of more than 50 paintings. All of them are made on a thick primed cardboard measuring 69-49 cm (70-50). This is the first work made on canvas. It features a lightweight stretcher… and a professional ready-made canvas for acrylic painting.
Olga Onopko is a classically trained painter from Russia who primarily uses oil on canvas, often integrating acrylic effects to achieve her distinctive mixed technique. She fuses traditional craftsmanship with contemporary abstraction and her signature "Otlip" technique, creating dynamic, modern works. Her art radiates vibrant colors and seeks to fill the world with the uplifting energy of beauty, sunlight, and unwavering positivity.
