About this artwork
Ballet is an aerial triptych where swallows become the dancers in a luminous choreography.
Against a deep blue background, the birds take flight and cross the three panels in a single breath, guided by sculpted curves that evoke ribbons of movement. Each line seems to capture the momentum of a wing, the inflection of a turn, the suspended moment of free flight.
The relief brings the gesture to life: the silhouettes emerge, escape from the plane,… play with the light and project moving shadows.
True to my signature style, the color will appear on the edges, almost secretive, only revealing itself upon closer inspection. A hidden, subtle detail, a chromatic breath that extends the artwork beyond its frame.
