This is a completely unique and original abstract oil painting on canvas. This painting epitomizes a technique and aesthetic I have been working to perfect over the years. The colors are vibrant and alive and the texture is highly tactile and almost edible. The paint jumps off of the canvas at you and there is depth and structure to the piece. The colors invite you in and provoke you to touch them… and the texture. There is a fierce energy, both messy and contained in this piece and the juxtaposition of smoothness and almost violent texture makes it dynamic to look at from many angles. This is a smaller and more affordable version of my new highly textured oil paintings. It almost looks assembled and the streaking colors wrap around the sides of the canvas to give it a unique three dimensional quality. It is truly an original oil painting like no other.
