About this artwork
In this work, I have captured the inherent tension between tradition and nature. Using acrylic paints, I built up the expression of stillness and moments of insight. The figure with the clock on its back symbolizes the burden of time, while the stag on the mountain embodies the longing for freedom and tranquility. This painting brings vibrant energy and contemplative depth to any room.
Ralph Schulz, shaped by an early childhood passion for drawing and a family environment steeped in art, found his way to painting through graphic design studies. His technique combines representational and figurative elements with the raw charm of recycled building materials, creating tension and contrast through the rapid and impasto application of acrylic paints. His works are emotional manifestos that reflect deeply personal experiences and challenge viewers to engage with multifaceted, compelling narratives. His art inevitably reflects my character. His art reflects his childhood, reflects his past, and reflects him.
