About this artwork
At first it reads like a quiet flower or a tree: a striped trunk rising into a golden canopy. It belongs to my natural digital series, where I make real photographs that can look rendered. Step closer and the image resolves—striped fabric meeting the waterline—captured in one in-camera exposure with no compositing, no invented elements; just a lot of swimming, studio-flash tweaking, breath-holds, and experiments with a fabric that wouldn’t listen.…
Archival pigment print, face-mounted under satin acrylic (P-99). Fine Art Editions of 4 (40×60 in), 6 (30×45 in), and 10 (16×24 in). Please allow us 10 days to produce artwork before shipping.

« I switched from science to art to make people dream. I love to make reality look surreal in order to challenge the mind and be more open to the world around us. »
Robin Cerutti is a prize-winning photographer based in Canada whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Mexico, France, Belgium, and the United States. He employs photography as a medium to escape and challenge the first perception of reality. While Cerutti does not convey any outright theories in his art, his credits his physicist background as playing a major role in his artistic expression. His goal is reached is his compositions cause a "dreamy state" in viewers.
