About this artwork
The tangle of shapes and signs in the foreground are enclosed within a rectangular perimeter that represents an obstacle preventing the traces from expanding on the surface.
They themselves constitute an impediment to the light emanating from the background in which the shades of colour, which are at times darker, suggest a forced movement.
My attempt to represent something that can be both tangible and intangible, such as an "obstacle", calls… to the observer's attention the personal interpretation of what it actually is.
Every individual, every existence encounters and is made up of impediments and difficulties that exist for each of us but which at the same time are different for each of us.
