About this artwork
The woman in blue is Circe, the sorceress with whom Odysseus spends around 8 years. I painted her as a woman who (as described in Homer) is also a weaver. She creates a work in the home with a clear view of and over the island over which she rules.

« I wish to use space to suggest time. In my explorations in 2D and 3D, I want to capture time as the 4th dimension. »
Roxane Legenstein's distinctive works explore how the structures in and around us restrict and define our perception of reality. In her artistic practice, she relays narratives through the use of a variety of materials, reflecting a certain timelessness of nature and its forms through colors. However, Legenstein describes her techniques as being more coventional in nature.
