About this artwork
I created this painting as a reflection on transition, presence, and quiet arrival. Using layered acrylic applied through both brushwork and paint marker techniques, I focused on capturing the moment where motion slows, and awareness sharpens — the instant between flight and grounding.
The aircraft approaches the runway beneath a glowing moon, guided by scattered city lights that blur into the atmosphere rather than structure. Rather than depicting… a specific place, the scene exists as a symbolic passage, where direction, trust, and anticipation converge.
Subtle variations in light and color emphasize calm over spectacle, allowing the work to hold a meditative quality. The painting invites the viewer into a suspended moment — one of alignment, descent, and quiet resolve.
The artwork will be carefully prepared for shipment. Framing can be arranged upon request.
Ryan Beal is a contemporary visual artist whose background in fine arts entrepreneurship and aviation deeply informs his work. He primarily works with acrylics and mixed media creating layered atmospheric compositions that explore presence movement and emotional depth. His intuitive process allows each piece to evolve organically guided by feeling rather than rigid structure.
Ryan’s artistic philosophy centers on mindfulness and the power of the present moment. He describes his approach as "wild reverence" the balance between calm and energy stillness and motion. Through texture light and subtle movement his work invites viewers to slow down breathe and reconnect with themselves.
As a business owner student pilot and father Ryan draws constant inspiration from lived experience shared moments with his family and the shifting perspectives found in both flight and everyday life. His art is not meant to be simply observed but felt offering a quiet space for reflection and connection.
