About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to capture the fusion between music and nature, symbolized by this organically shaped jellyfish emerging from a guitar. Acrylic paint allowed me to play with fluidity and transparency, evoking both gentleness and movement. This painting invites us to feel the subtle harmony and vibrant energy that music can infuse into our world.
Sébastien Sorolla primarily uses acrylics, drawing on his training in Graphic Arts at Saint-Luc in Tournai and his extensive experience as a portrait painter. He practices contemporary figurative painting, blending animal art and musicality, where the precision of the line serves the dynamism of the gesture. His "Musical Instinct" series invites viewers to feel vibrations, making each canvas alive with energy, movement, and intense emotions, like a visual symphony.
