About this artwork
A lock. A puzzle. Rav Bariach is a famous Israeli patent, a lock that closes doors in four directions. A lock is an object that simultaneously denotes two opposite things - closing and opening. The choice is yours.
The artwork was painted by me when it was Hanukkah in Israel where I live. And I depicted Pesach. Passing out of slavery, out of dependence and recommendations in quotation marks.
The pyramid shape at the bottom of the artwork is just… about this.
The author's signature is on the back of the canvas, as it was unexpectedly discovered that the painting looks great when turned over in any of the four possible ways, where the blue arrow can be directed in any of the four directions of your choice.
Shlomit Aharonovitch, with an MA in Landscape Architecture, expresses through painting, her works spanning global private collections. Utilizing a visionary technique, she finds the means to manifest her mind's eye onto canvas, engaging in a dialogue with the viewer and the world at large. Her creations capture an ethereal quest, blurring the lines between Heaven and Earth, evoking a profound unity within the spectator.
