Sig, a self-taught and passionate artist, finds her artistic fulfillment on Reunion Island. The singularity of this imaginary female projection leaves neither the eye nor the heart indifferent. This stylized character quickly conquers the people of Réunion. In 2012, Sig received the public prize at the Éperon Art Biennale.
The artist composes his works without prior calculation, in a dynamic line where a subtle play of balance confronts disproportion and asymmetry, thus recalling the line of African statues. The use of invigorating colors brightens his creations. His favorite character "the Kafrine" evolves alongside him over time. The Kafrine thrives on all surfaces and quickly adopts recycled materials such as sheet metal and pallets. The techniques that Sig uses are mixed and paper collage is often used to dress his characters.
