About this artwork
The anthurium, nicknamed the "flaming anthurium," is a tropical plant native to South America. With its vibrant, intense red color, it commands a presence that is both elegant and bold. Its almost calligraphic form evokes the meeting of mind and word. A single glance seems to awaken consciousness.
The acrylic paint used reflects the tension between brilliance and depth, between smooth texture and chromatic intensity, that is explored in this work.… But beyond realism and detail, the anthurium here becomes a symbol of expression.
In the painting, she does not burn, she watches over. She is a sacred ember, a fragment of light placed in the shadow, a reminder that some truths cannot be spoken: they radiate in thought, gently, until they ignite the attentive soul.
