About this artwork
This sculpture radiates pure joie de vivre and self-confidence. I wanted to capture the moment of freedom and expression in which a person completely loses themselves in their own world. The combination of bronze and stone gives it a timeless elegance that fills any space with positive energy. This work invites you to celebrate your own uniqueness and boldly express yourself.

« Whatever the material, form or approach, one topic always remains paramount: the human being. »
The path of German painter and sculptor Stefanie von Quast led from studies in painting and graphic design to training in sculpture and bronze casting. She utilizes a variety of techniques and materials to seamlessly transition between painting and sculpture, with particular attention to color, drawing, and surface texture. The focus is on the human being from a unique, positive perspective. Body language and posture intuitively reflect the dynamics of interpersonal relationships.
For several years now, she has been painting using mixed media on thin stone slabs, blending the stone's natural grain with the painting. This represents a further step toward merging painting and sculpture. In her sculptures, special techniques create a harmonious blend of stone and bronze.
She has been working as a freelance artist for over 30 years, with regular exhibitions, art fairs and numerous commissions.
