With this canvas, I explore the intensity of tango. The red asserts itself as a deep, almost nocturnal warmth, where the lines draw closer, brush against each other and respond to one another.
Music plays an essential role in my work. The rhythms, silences, and tension of the melodies nourish my gesture and influence the emergence of movement on the canvas.
I work in an instinctive dialogue with the material. The forms attract each other, intersect… and find their balance, like two dancers carried by the same pulse.
This painting evokes the warmth of the night, the presence, and the energy of a dance that cannot be explained but is felt.
