About this artwork
The oil painting “Sakura Tree” is a semi-abstract artwork that shows the beauty of a blooming cherry tree in a modern interpretation.
The dominant colors are black, red, gold and white.
The white cherry blossoms are in stark contrast to the dark background. They are painted partly realistically, partly abstractly, with smooth transitions and dynamic spatula and brushstrokes.
The background varies between dark and light areas, with a play of light… and shadow that creates an almost mystical effect.
Golden elements permeate the image – be it as delicate highlights on the flowers or as structured, almost metallic shimmering accents that add depth and elegance.
Red is used deliberately to create energy and contrast, possibly in the form of a slightly flowing color
Tatiana Takush, born in St. Petersburg – a city with a long artistic tradition – is a trained painter and printmaker. She works primarily with oil, acrylic, and mixed media.
In her works, she tells stories of landscapes and people. She often uses fleeting snapshots as a starting point, which she reinterprets with depth, sensitivity, and passion. Her art invites the viewer on a dreamlike journey where emotions become visible – especially where words fall short.
