About this artwork
This picture is part of my old-cardboard-series: I take pieces of old, used cardboard packaging and bring it to new life. The rough, irregular, unconformable structure filled up with Gesso, Pastel chalk, Graphite, warm creamy Acrylic-color, partially with soft pressure rubbed in, effectuate a very special used look with kind of nostalgic allurement.
The artwork is framed in a white glazed wooden box without glass, 90x70x5 cm.

Tepe Kraus is a passionate German painter who has taken part in exhibitions in Germany and Great Britain. Her work usually focuses on portraiture - from abstract to figurative. Her style appears playful and lively, her expression spontaneous and free. Tepe received particular attention through her artistic participation in the international film production "Double Soul" by Valerio Esposito, which featured a Hollywood cast.
