About this artwork
Inspired by Landscapes of Turner
The desolate haunting urban landscape of Erith on the river Thames. I love to find beauty in unusual places .
Photographed on the Thames and applied to alumium leaf on canvas.. I deconstruct the images , tearing , sanding , scratching ... then I draw over the top and wash with colour pigments finally sealing with a n eggshell lacquer

« Sometimes beauty takes your breath away, moving us emotionally to another place. This rush of serotonin from nature and emotions cannot be replaced in an artwork, but I can try. »
