About this artwork
A limited edition of 20 mixed media painting on to a print of original suminagashi on silk .
Using the energy of suminagashi .. ink on water .. blowing on the surface to move the inks .. pulling a delicate human hair across the water and lastly throwing water . All producing an elemental image on washi paper that is then printed on to pure silk to enlarge it and repainted and gilded
Gazing at that image before I dip the paper in and studying the… print I can lose myself in imagination. I saw beautiful koi carp weaving through the water.. a symbol of prosperity
Produced using eco environmental materials and onto silk stretched onto a canvas and painted and embellished using 23ct gold leaf
I also sell the original on delicate washi paper framed between 2 pieces of plexiglass. . Please ask
