About this artwork
The shades of pink, purple and green intertwine in a harmony that is both soft and powerful, evoking the delicacy of hydrangea petals while suggesting an organic, almost wild energy.
The layering of paint creates a **tactile depth**, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the artwork. Impasto and transparency interact to bring a dynamic composition to life.
The curves and color contrasts guide the eye in a fluid dance, reflecting the natural… movement of flowers in the wind or the changing light of a garden.
The work transcends simple representation to touch on the universal – ephemeral beauty, vitality, and a form of poetic melancholy.
This painting could inspire reflection on the **fragility and resilience** of nature, themes dear to the artist.
Théodora Bernardini, born in 1940 in Poitiers. Painter for over fifty years and registered with the Maison des Artistes since 1988. Her paintings, primarily in oil, explore the sensory experience of the world through interior landscapes and non-narrative forms. Material, gesture, light, and color are central to her practice. Théodora constructs a poetic and organic universe, where nature and memory intertwine in a demanding artistic exploration.
She has exhibited in numerous cities in France and internationally: Paris (Salon d'Automne, Galerie Nikki Diana Marquardt, Art Shopping at the Louvre), Brussels, New York, Monaco, Nice, Marseille, Strasbourg. She has received several awards (gold medal from the French National Federation of Culture, Paris 2024 Cultural Olympiad label). His monographs, En Amont 2023, bear witness to a body of work built over time, nourished by a rare sensitivity.
