About this artwork
The work is executed using acrylic paints and ink on paper. The style is abstract, with a strong influence from modern art. The artist uses bright, contrasting colors to create a visually interesting composition. The black line is precise and defines the shapes. The signature in the lower right corner helps identify the artist.
The neutral white background serves as a backdrop for the colorful shapes. The lighting is uniform, without shadows or… harsh lighting effects. The overall atmosphere is simple and uncluttered, allowing the shapes and colors to dominate the composition. The work exudes spontaneity and expression.
Thierry Buisson, a self-taught painter from Lyon, trained in the world of Joan Miro, Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee and Picasso. In 2024, he was awarded a medal by the Academy of Arts, Sciences and Letters. Her technique is a rhythmic and instinctive combination of acrylic, pastel chalk and plaster. Her work falls within an expressive abstraction, inherited from cubism, where structure dialogues with emotion. Her abstract works invite the viewer to transcend words, creating a space for personal imagination. A proponent of automatism, where the artist gives free rein to their gesture without strict planning. His work is based on organic forms that suggest creatures or characters, without being realistic.
Theb develops a pictorial universe which he calls Lyromorphism.
