About this artwork
In this creation, I wanted to "open up" the visitors' imagination to possible distant horizons.
This painting invites contemplation and escape. The intense, deep green opens onto a realm of possibilities, while the deep blue suggests distance, dreams, and the unknown. Between earth and sky, the horizon line becomes a gateway to the imagination, a space where the gaze and the mind can lose themselves...or find themselves again.
Thierry Ménéchal, known by his artist name THIME, is a painter originally from the Dordogne region and based in Bordeaux. He works primarily with pigments, oil paints, and textured materials, drawing on a professional background outside the art world. He favors abstraction, using a palette knife for a spontaneous gesture, playing with transparency, movement, and relief with great expressiveness. His art is nourished by his travels, nature, and his emotions, inviting the viewer to deeply experience the inner essence of each work, like a sensory journey where sensitivity takes precedence over representation.
