About this artwork
Through this work, I sought to capture the mysterious essence of a strange creature, poised between shadow and light. The sharp contrasts of India ink and the subtle touches of yellow acrylic evoke an energy that is both enigmatic and vibrant. This semi-abstract, metaphysical piece invites inner meditation, bringing to your space an aura of depth and quiet reflection.
Tilda Lovi is a self-taught, multidisciplinary sculptor and visual artist born in Nantes, drawing on a rich literary background and apprenticeships with masters in France, Germany, and Russia. She fuses sculpture, drawing, painting, and photography, exploring diverse materials such as stone, bronze, and her unique bobéton (a type of small wooden sculpture), in an intensely personal and inventive approach. Her style oscillates between abstraction and figuration, always inspired by the ocean and dance, weaving together emotion, memory, and poetry; her works unsettle, move, and invite profound introspection.
