About this artwork
In this piece, I channeled raw emotion through bold, layered strokes of acrylic and graffiti. The vibrant contrast between blues and yellows bursts with energy and tension, reflecting life's chaotic beauty. This work is an expression of freedom and spontaneous creativity, meant to invigorate any space with its dynamic spirit and compel viewers to embrace their own passion and intensity.
It is ironic that I'm finally sort of painting landscapes and… flowers, doing almost exactly what I resisted doing when my mother suggested it.
Vicki Corley, a versatile painter and printmaker, originates from an abstract, impressionist, and expressionist background. She astutely utilises acrylics and oils, expressing her craft through gestural brushwork and contrasting mediums. Her art oscillates between fascination and mystery, conveying a profound love for colour and movement, effortlessly captivating even those biased against abstract art.
