About this artwork
In this painting, I explore the fragile boundary between protection and harm. The red hand appears both intimate and intrusive ,it embraces, yet it wounds. The sharp forms emerging from the back symbolize the silent defenses we build to survive emotional tension.
I am interested in the contrast between softness and danger, vulnerability and control. The figure is turned away, suggesting withdrawal, introspection, and the complexity of inner experience.… The red background intensifies the emotional atmosphere, transforming the scene into a psychological space rather than a literal one.
Through this work, I reflect on how love, fear, and strength can coexist within the same gesture. The painting invites the viewer to question whether the hand protects or restrains and whether the pain comes from within or from outside.
