About this artwork
Vases are often used to put flowers in. The artist wants to express what it would be like if art can replace that act of picking or buying flowers and instead applying on the vase. Art can last forever but the flowers "in" the vase will only last for days.

« Artists are powerful emotional influencers. There is never a piece of art that you don't get, the moment you look at a painting you are already thinking and feeling. »
Yihong Hsu is an artist based in China whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in France, Switzerland, and the United States. In addition, her art has been featured in such publications as Create Magazine. Hsu employs flowers as a means of portraying the everyday human encounters and circumstances she comes across. The shapes and engaging patterns in her abstract compositions convey the narrative in each piece. Her vibrant works are created using acrylics on canvas.
