About this artwork
It appeared in a dream as a dreamlike landscape and the children watched the sky polluted by the dispersion of flying plastics into the air. It was an empathic message from the environment and those plastic clouds were trying to bring consciousness to humanity. Those plastic clouds moved by the wind tried to bring empathy to awaken our awareness, because there is a wrong and hypocritical attitude due to the selfishness of the human being.

« The inspiration is the perception of a moment when we can do something. »
Marco Stocco, an Italian artist born in 1970, lives between Italy and Brazil. Self-taught and drawn to figurative art, he began his first paintings, often depicting enigmatic female forms and faces. Along his artistic journey, Marco moved to Brazil, where he currently resides. Initially, the pace and vibrant cultural diversity of Brazil shook him and almost disoriented him emotionally, but then, through observation, he perceived and grasped new, precious creative stimuli. Marco treasures all these stimulating inner experiences, which later lead him to express new sensations in his paintings. In 2009, he created "Orpheus," his "imaginary interior photojournalist," an enigmatic and contemplative character that represents himself, channeling these sensations into which he then materially expresses them on canvas.
