Alistair is an internationally recognized artist, shown such by prize winner on the prestigious Le Salon Société des Artistes Français, multiple solo exhibitions internationally, and major permanent collection. Inspired by the torn layers of Paris underground/subway posters, Alistair developed a unique technique that combines painting with collage and décollage. Rather than using pre-decorated materials as in conventional collage or décollage, he works with layers of blank paper on canvas, painting directly onto them with textured brushstrokes and color. These painted layers are then unpredictably combined through processes of collage and décollage, creating a dynamic and integrated surface.

Rooted primarily in painting, through this process, time becomes an additional dimension within the work.
