Abbott Handerson Thayer

Abbott Handerson Thayer, a multifaceted American artist and naturalist, wielded his brush to create portraits and landscapes in oil. He merged academic technique with a personal, ethereal style, often capturing his subjects enveloped in soft light and serene atmosphere. His artworks resonate with a profound sense of peace and an almost divine grace, especially his iconic 'angel' paintings.
