Achim Mogge is a painter living in Berlin. In his paintings, he primarily explores industrial ruins and abandoned workplaces. The abandoned panoramas and close-ups of disused factories depict the creation and development, right up to the decay of industrial objects. Human traces can still be sensed, tangible, and thus become actors in these abandoned scenarios. By using egg tempera as a painting technique, the colors can be created from earth and rust pigments, achieving a high, velvety luminosity. This sharpens the view of otherwise unnoticed elements and opens the space to perceive a new aesthetic.
