« I am meditation imprinted with ink. »
My artistic project is based on concepts. The first is the ancestral need for experimentation with materials, such as rubber recovered from the internal cabins of trains and from industrial packaging, fixed on canvas or wooden boards with the aid of glues and silicone.
The second is a deliberately abstract research aimed at recreating landscapes and retracing the state of anxiety and panic that assails conscious man in the face of the devastating impact that his peers have on Earth.
In this reference system, rubber, a petroleum derivative, is the symbol and cause of a world dominated by destruction, pollution and wars.
Hundreds, if not thousands of years, will be needed for the environment to break down plastic packaging. In this absurd scenario, the tires applied to my canvases will have the same lifespan as those mountains of environmentally toxic waste that infest nature and our oceans.
