Alexandre Delacroix

From his childhood, Alexandre Delacroix grew up surrounded by unusual objects,
his parents own a cabinet of curiosities where he soaks up the aura of the place.
A musician influenced by rock, he quickly developed a passion for psychedelic album covers.
After studying law, he turned to graphic arts and composed his visuals like a song, focusing on the spontaneity that results from it.
Inspired by ancient paintings and religious icons, he plays with time by practicing anachronism with lightness but precision on Plexiglas paintings which distance the subject from our time, creating plays of light.
From scenes of daily life, often at night, he integrates his historical characters in order to distort their primary meaning.
In order to bring a new dimension to his creations, he now animates his paintings in videos punctuated by his musical compositions. The goal is to shape an ultimate extension of the physical painting.
