« I am always looking to capture the spirit of a place by finding and exploring objects that carry seeds of living systems. »
Aline Mare is a painter and photographer based in the United States whose works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions nationally. She describes her current pieces as being comprised of images of minerals and the body in transformation. Mare employs salt crystallization and mica as metaphors, creating organic interpretations of nature in the process of transmutation.
