« Doing art excites and thrills me. To create, for me, is a magical thing. »
Alison Chaplin is an artist based in the United Kingdom whose paintings have been featured in solo exhibitions in England. Inspired by nature, she is especially marked by her frequent walks in the forest, where "the familiar becomes strange". As such, Chaplin's compositions convey 'a shifting viewpoint, a mobile horizon, darkling spaces, and sunlit spots". Her distinctive landscapes are most often created using oils on canvas.
