Alisya Vicol, educated in Moldova and London, uses both watercolor and oil painting to explore contemporary landscape art. Through her Impressionistic aesthetic, she uses loose washes in her wet-on-wet technique, and creates textured, atmospheric scenes by layering and glazing oils. Vicol's landscapes serve as a channel for conveying her connection with the outdoor world, distilling her observations and memories into emotional pieces that reflect on the ephemeral grandeur of nature's transitional periods.
