Alvaro EP’s work always begins with a photograph, helping him to work with the transience of a specific moment, which is then ‘captured, isolated and preserved’. The Ecuadorean artist’s pieces also explore identity: of the figures photographed, the images created, and the concept in a broader sense. Experimentation is a fundamental part of EP’s artistic process, as he challenges himself into further realms of expression.
