« I have come to believe that art and science, together, allow for an understanding and appreciation of the world that is not possible with just one without the other. »
Amy Hamblin is inspired by surrealistic art and the humorous juxtapositions that prompt the viewer to look at things in a new way. The American photographer, draftsman, and sculptor endeavors to keep her own art surprising and open-ended in order to prompt personal interpretation from the viewer. Hamblin feels that within our busy daily lives, the visual details around us are most often overlooked, and it is these enchanting details that she brings back into focus with her art.
