Andrea Ratton

I am Andrea Ratton, a Brazilian painter with a realistic and symbolic style, focused on portraying companion species. My training in fine arts began at the State University of Minas Gerais in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and continued in Santiago, Chile, where I perfected my technique in portraiture and illustration.
My work seeks to reflect on our relationship with companion species and its impact on memory. My process combines the figurative and the abstract, integrating techniques such as acrylic ink, watercolor, photography, and digital media, allowing me to explore and experiment with the connection between physical and virtual art, capturing the essence and uniqueness of each animal.
Through my portraits, I bring to light the natural beauty and cultural roots that inspire my artistic practice. My work seeks not only to be an aesthetic representation, but also an invitation to preserve, value, and remember what we share with nature.
