« Whether inspired by my own community or those that I find on my travels, my work offers an insight into the essence of a culture and the individuals that create it. »
Anna Pinkster's works reflect her obsession with painting and drawing the human figure, as well as her fascination with observing and describing people in their environments. Inspired by her extensive travels, Pinkster's compositions convey and celebrate diversity in different cultures. She employs oils and charcoal, allowing the charcoal lines to show through the paint, in order to create a sense of energy, movement, and immediacy.
