Asumi Asama is an award-winning artist based in Japan whose works have been widely exhibited nationally, as well as in Taiwan and the United States. She describes the main components of her art as being images, her intuition, and the "information of the place" that materializes through her body. For Asama, creating "something real out of nothing" is a physical sensation, which is best expressed through the process of embroidery.
