« I came to realize how music and imagery closely intertwine and started to gravitate towards the visual aspects of music and auditory memory. »
Baldvin Ringsted is an Irish painter and sculptor whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the United States, Iceland, and Scottland. He approaches his artwork in much the same way as he would compose a piece of music. Rhythm and structure are often reappearing themes throughout Ringsted's practice. He employs these techniques and methods in order to explore a memory or a nostalgic feeling through repurposing found materials and imagery.
