« What inspires me most are the expressionist painters, the recovery and reworking of the twentieth-century figurative tradition is the key to my painting. »
Barbara Lo Faro is an artist based in Italy whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. Inpsired by the expressionists as well as the surrealists, her distinctive works explore the human figure, in particular, the female form. Lo Faro portrays the contrasts and fragility of her subjects, both animal and human, in an expressive and emotionally evocative manner.
