About this artwork
I poured my passion for expressionism into this canvas, mixing acrylic, charcoal and pigments to give life to shapes and shadows that dance together, describing the vulnerability and strength of being. It is a work that speaks of raw emotions, of palpable sensations, which will live in homes, bringing energy and deep reflection. This work in particular is a tribute to my all-time favorite painter, Egon Schiele.

Barbara Lo Faro is an artist based in Italy whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. Inpsired by the expressionists as well as the surrealists, her distinctive works explore the human figure, in particular, the female form. Lo Faro portrays the contrasts and fragility of her subjects, both animal and human, in an expressive and emotionally evocative manner.
