Barbara Polisena is a painter and draftsman based in Italy whose works have been exhibited nationally. She cites the themes of communicaton and community as being the basis of her artsitc practice. However, Polisena's abstractions and figurative works have evolved into an exploration of the meaning of life, prejudices, and preconceptions. If her pieces do not convey a particular concept, she endeavors to "reach the heart through abstract atmospheres".
