Beate Axmann is a German painter and draftsman whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the United States and China. Being from the Black Forrest, she feels deeply connected with nature, which is reflected through her diverse pieces. In recent years, Axmann's compositions have increasingly been shaped by social issues such as home and foreign, asylum and migration, or the flaming new populism. Her intuitive and untamed style is based in the abstract figurative.
