« The best feeling you can have as an artist is to surprise even yourself by creating something new and unique each time your creative streak takes hold. »
Inspired to paint from an early age Portuguese artist Beatriz Manteigas studied Fine-Art at the University of Lisbon prior to embarking on her solo career. Taking inspiration from the world around her, Manteigas' works are constantly evolving and rarely adhere to a particular style. Her evocative works and subject matter demand a reflective and often emotive response from the viewer.
