« I believe art has the power to transform lives. »
Belen Islas, an award-winning American painter, has exhibited her works nationally. Though her themes vary through series and sub-series, her most recent works delve into the invisible connections between humans and the cosmos. Islas portrays resilient and powerful women in her pieces, while also reflecting on the transformative power of seemingly small actions. After creating simple sketches, she paints using acrylics and gold-leaf on canvas or wood.
