« Exploring traditional techniques of the past, with a contemporary approach, allows me to develop my practice in a dynamic style all of my own, rooted in the classics. »
Ben Dearnley is a sculptor based in Ireland whose works have been widely exhibited throughout the United Kingdom, as well as in Austria, France, and the United Arab Emirates. He believes that "we are all fragments of a whole", which manifests itself in his latest pieces, where fragmented figures are presented in a classical style. Dearnley employs marble from Italy and describes his art as "spiritual Christian reflections" that are made with a love of beauty and truth in form.
