Dutch artist Ben Rikken's artworks are beautifully emotive and have a serene tranquillity which transports the viewer instantly into the setting. Inspired by his travels, local sites and the effect of light when it hits the water. Each piece expertly captures the mood and feeling of its subject, a Dutch boathouse, granite coastline or vase of flowers. Utilising a rich color palette, Ben's pieces are textured, capturing the effect of light glistening off the ocean or shiny rind of a piece of cheese.
Ben's works have been exhibited internationally and are held in private and public collections.
