Benjamin Debayle, a native of Saint-Étienne, is a contemporary visual artist who works in a variety of mediums, including painting, sculpture, and installation. Drawing on his background in visual arts and multimedia graphics, his current practice explores abstraction and conceptualization, influenced by primary art, naive art, and abstract expressionism. Often defined as a "sculptor of light" or "painter of black," Debayle uses a variety of materials, including acrylic, lacquer, and light itself. Through his works, he inspires a reflection on timelessness, creating a subtle connection between past and future.
